The Zero Oil in the Sea project recovers used oil from boats, which, in the absence of an adequate disposal system, often ends up being dumped into the bilge and then directly into the sea. The oil can be treated and reused for the same purpose. By collecting, treating, and reusing it, the production and consumption cycle of this resource can be closed.
The project involves placing bins and tanks for oil collection so that each boat can freely dispose of used oil in every port where it docks. The project complements our Vox Maris initiatives, which are carried out in the ports.
